Why is PLNT so laggy?

On 92.5 for Windows, PLNT is extremely laggy for some reason. I've experimented with other elements and most others don't lag near as badly. A full screen of sand gets me to around 25 to 30 FPS... a full screen of plnt? Down to like 1 FPS and near ready to crash/stop responding. Even heac is less laggy than plnt...

Maybe you have a lua script that adds an update function to plant?

It's not this laggy for me. HEAC is definitely laggier

    Nope no lua at all.

I don't really know then. Could always restart TPT and make sure there's no autorun.lua. I don't know what besides console/lua would cause it to lag that badly.

I just figured it out. I was running the snapshot... which was way laggier than the current stable build. Both the snapshot and stable are labeled as 92.5.336. What changed between the two?

Oh, I accidentally left in a debug print in PLNT's update function. It's printing something to output once every frame for every plant on screen. This is incredibly laggy.

I'm doing a new snapshot now to fix it, but I might go to sleep if it fails to compile or if I get too tired.

Thanks for catching it. (Although I think @suibian reported it first)

@jacob1 You should probably rename PLNT to POTA, for Potato. It's your favorite food, and it screams the size of a table every frame.
