I have thought about this for sometime. This is for new users, wondering how and who created TPT. I'd like users who know what they're talking about! So I can update this.
2008 -August 2008 or whenever -The Powder Toy is created by Skylark. The Troll War Begins. The Flame War Begins.
2009 Information is unknown at the time.
2010 or 2009 @Simon finds TPT and takes over Skylark's Powder Toy. -Summer 2010 @Simon posts on The Powder Toy, on /g/ and opens the forum for discussion.
2011- May 2011: MERC was added to TPT. Original creators: @randalserrano, @Me4502, and @Vanquish349 developed in powder sim mod. Major updates. The rest is unknown at this time.
2012 The Era of @PacBrad begins and ends on August 2nd, 2012. April 1,2012 @Lockheedmartin pretends to be a hacker, threatens to hack it. A lot of users believe it.
2013 Unfortunately @Merbo quits.
2014 Unknown at this time.
2015 Unknown at this time.
2016 Unknown at this time.
2017 Unknown at this time.

Literally all of this information is wrong except "The Powder Toy is created by Skylark". Edit: I guess it's mostly corrected now ...
TPT was very active when Simon took it over. pacbrad was annoying for a time yes, but that was 5 years ago, why do people still talk about him? Merbo didn't die of cancer (and also hasn't played tpt in years). There was also flaming long before 2013, it was even worse before then.Edited once by jacob1. Last: 22nd Jan 2018 -

He had severe / untreated schizophrenia, so he did actually think he was dying from cancer. He left for several months to get it treated and manages it much better now. I've barely talked to him since he came back though (but as far as I know, this is what really happened). He was eventually banned from IRC after returning.
I could try to give a list of events actually relevant to TPT history ... but this probably isn't the right thread for that. -
Probably isnt! Anyways this is what I meant by Timeline years ago. That sucks I hope he gets on better medication.

I'm user 7 :), though I haven't been active in years, and I think my electronics saves are broken. Weird to see all these people banned.
I believe it was Summer 2010 when Simon posted the powder toy on /g/ and made this forum for discussion.
