I've decided to post a 9-step tutorial on how to make Deco Free electronic buttons that are still sparkable. To get a bold image, do step #7 twice. As always, credit is preferred but not mandatory. Happy Sparking!

@TheNik: [Pt. 2] - I believe that rather than rendering FILT normally, it's colours and transparency are a graphic effect added on *After-The-Fact* at the end of each frame, which means that other elements have the colour overlaid depending on its alpha value. This would explain why FILT gets progressively brighter in persistent mode, and I think layering determines the order in which the overlays are applied.

@TheNik: [Pt. 1] - As I understand it, TPT is coded so that FILT's graphics are processed separately from the usual rendering. This can be seen by typing the lua code "tpt.el.filt.color=0" into the console, which has no effect. (With most elements, they are then rendered black and are effectively invisible).

I do understand the process, but why are the colors preserved through the overwriting step? Are they somehow appearing from the lower layer of FILT?

This is amazing! I already have a few applications of this in mind. May I use this technology in my own saves, with credit?

Some people prefer not to use deco for certain applications... Some just think it's cool (like me), while others could use it to have an interior and exterior view of a build, yet still have colour in both. Also, deco doesn't often display in the save preview, and having functionality that is decoless helps people understand the save better
