@JusticeFighter The control field, not the shunting armor would be used to manipulate the yound universe. The ship would consume some of the matter to fuel the control of the rest. The shunting armor only exists because I thought it looked cool.
@Technomancer The ship transmits signals via quark pairs, which is instant. @pepper1boy a single pixel at best. @TheArchitect It has a shkadov thruster, which directs the energy output of stars as thrust. other than that, it projects it's mass in the direction it's traveling. Yes, it would warp space around it if not for the control field. Beyond 9.87 LY, it's effects can be felt Fun fact, gravity propagates at the speed of light, so it's effects would take 9.87 years to reach that distance.
It takes two and a quarter hours for light to travel from one end of this thing to the other. Surely that causes some communication difficulties?
how big would an eclipse be in this scale?
No offense intended, but you may need to test what happens when you put massive amounts of raw matter into a singularity.
This causes ridiculous strains on everything in, nearby, or even within lightyears of this thing. :() Time would run so slowly near it that it might take a looooooooooong time to reach its destination.
2: It is so huge and dense that it would warp spacetime around it. Severely.
1: HOW DOES IT EVEN MOVE?
Energy would probably be produced by the dyson spheres in the back, but these would need a LOT of additional hydrogen to "eat" from.... take it from the new universe?
@the_new_powder99999: Well, actually, what about the physical entropy in there? If its a "very young universe", ill guess it has low entropy. The ship armor would then absorb it and feed the mass into the sphere inside this ship to be processed. That does make it very easy to change, but what about the energy required to raise the entropy of a ~8.5 lj universe enough so that you have usable matter and dont have to continuosly feed in mass? > material storage <
