The VOID is not really necessary, since the only flammable/meltable parts are at the back, behind the indestructible bits and the plasma converter (which serves a dual purpose as a protective shield, since anything passing through or adjacent to it will be CONV'ed into plasma and held stationary). There are a couple of drawbacks to this method, it's bulkier than ARAY, URAN or some LIFE heaters, and it does horrible things under pressure or Newtonian gravity.

Each frame, the CONV (STNE) convert the PLSM into STNE, and the CONV (PLSM) converts it back to PLSM. Since PLSM spawns at 10000 degrees, it will heat up.

the plasma heaters work by layering plasma, converter (plasma), converter (stone), converter (plasma) and converter (stone) really simple

The plsm superheating aspect is complex and utilises several advanced mechanisms. I can create an in-depth tutorial for this, but only if many people like this save and truly desire to know how to recreate it..
