    I have nearly completed one that shoots salt out and detects whether it rebounds or not, It doesn't do damage, but it spams ships with salt.

    Can you make a sensor array? Which isn't destructive, used like a photon quartz design which makes a burst of photons and where they come back where your enemy is or friendly.
